Your policy provides cover for Covid-19 and other epidemics or pandemics under the following sections:
- Emergency Medical & Repatriation: Covers emergency medical treatment, repatriation if necessary, additional travel and accommodation costs, and funeral/cremation expenses if you pass away abroad.
- Trip Cancellation: Covers non-refundable travel and accommodation costs if you, a travel companion, or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19 and become seriously ill before your trip.

You can manage your policy and request changes to your policy online at any time by signing-in to your Huddle account.
You must tell us as soon as possible about any changes that could affect your cover, including if:
- your travel destinations change outside of the region or countries listed on your Policy Schedule;
- your travel dates change;
- you are no longer a UK resident;
- you wish to add or remove an insured person or change their details;

Most changes will automatically apply to your policy once you have requested them, and you have paid any additional premium if required. We will then send you an updated policy schedule which outlines the information you’ve provided us and the details of your updated cover.
There may be circumstances where you are unable to make certain changes to your policy, such as moving the start date of a single trip policy once your trip has already begun.
See the Policy Document for further details on how and when you can make a change to your policy .
Travel insurance must be purchased before you and any other travellers you intend to cover under your policy have started your trip.
See the Policy Document for further details on eligibility.
If you're planning a ski or snowboarding trip to any of Europe's mountain resorts, you'll need to add our Winter Sports pack onto your policy to be covered for the trip. Winter sports trips are not covered as standard, so without the Winter Sports Pack, you will not be covered for any claim related to or arising from winter sports activities during your trip.
Purchasing the Winter Sports Pack extends your cover for emergency medical expenses and costs relating to your trip, in addition to some extra winter sports related benefits such as cover for ski equipment, piste closure and avalanches.
See the Policy Document for full details on the Winter Sports Pack.
Yes, if you’re planning on taking any cruise while on your trip that includes two or more nights accommodation, you’ll need to add the Cruise Pack. Cruise trips are not covered as standard under this policy, including cover for emergency medical treatment or for cancelling or cutting your trip short, even if it is not directly related to the cruise.
That means that you must include this additional cover if any of your trip includes a cruise, otherwise you will not have any cover under your policy.
See the Policy Document for full details on the Cruise Pack.
Emergency Assistance is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. This emergency support is provided by our partner, Charles Taylor. You can contact them on +44 (0) 1243 975 315.
Please contact Emergency Assistance as soon as possible if you experience a medical emergency. Our team will provide you with the relevant support and support you in making any related claim.
There’s no cover from your Huddle Travel Insurance policy if an airline cancels your flight before you have started your trip. If the airline cancels your flight before you arrive at your departure point you should always discuss this with your airline or travel provider to see what options are available to you.
Under Regulation EU261 you are protected in the event of long flight delays or cancellations of flights departing from or arriving in Europe. It allows up to £520 compensation per passenger in the event of such disruptions.
Entitlements are only in force if the delay or cancellation is within the airline’s control and has not been deemed an “extraordinary circumstance.”
However, if you’re delayed at the airport on your outbound or inbound journey, Huddle Travel Insurance provides cover for the delay, any missed departure it causes and, if the delay is of a longer duration, abandoning your trip if you decide to do so.
See the Policy Document for full details on coverage for cancellation and delays.
You have a 14-day cooling-off period once you buy your policy. If you decide that this policy is not right for you, you may cancel it within 14 days of purchasing your policy.
We will give you a full refund if you cancel within this cooling-off period, provided that:
- you have not started your trip; and
- you do not want to make a claim under your policy; and
- you do not want to exercise any other right under your policy.
You can cancel your policy only via your Huddle account
See the Policy Document for full details.
